If you are looking to get away from it all and just relax in a quiet and comfortable place, Viva is a very good place to be. As this is a reasonably priced small (11 spacious bungalows), family operated resort, you can of course not compare Viva to high end luxury resorts, but here you can appreciate the following:
- Mom´s excellent thai cooking (possibly the best Thai food I have tasted)
- Dad´s large and well kept pretty garden
- A nice beach you often may have completely to yourself. Of course no jet skis and no one selling stuff. At low tide, small children may walk far in the water, at high tide only adults can. I think this part of the Island is less exposed to big waves than Chaweng etc.
- Spacious, clean and very nice bungalows.
_ Friendly service.
- A big, pretty pool.
We only managed to get 4 nights at Viva, even though we booked more than two months in advance. Clearly we are not the only ones that appreciate this resorts quiet charm.
